While skiing in Snowbird, a lady was riding the chairlift with me. She was complaining about the money the resort was charging ($180 per hour) for her 4 year old son’s private ski lesson. She went on saying that she was a lawyer and even she doesn’t charge so much for an hour of her time.
It took a huge huge amount of restraint on my part to keep my hands where they were and not push her off the chair in an attempt to make the world a better place. I kept wondering what kind of lawsuit this lady would come up with if her son got injured during that lesson.
In my honest opinion, lawyers are given undue importance and pay in US. I haven’t dealt with a lawyer in my life yet and hope to keep it that way for the rest of it.
