It was the first visit of the year to the emergency room for Ashwini. We came home from daycare and after getting out of the car she wanted to sit in the dirt on garage floor and I was trying to stop her from that by lifting her up by her arms. She started crying and didn’t want to move her left arm away from her body. I knew what had happened. Her elbow got dislocated. It is supposedly very common for children her age. We rushed her to the ER. Thankfully, didn’t have to wait for too long. A doctor came to see us, talked with Ashwini to distract her and fixed her arm with a snap. She was very pleased with that doctorkaka who miraculously fixed her arm.
Note to self: Don’t pick Ashwini up with her arms. Hold her under her arms, always!
I should have posted this last week, as this happened on last Thursday.
