Swati was one of the names on the short list when we were thinking of names for Ashwini. I had put all the names of stars and constellations in the hat for consideration. Ashwini recently met a girl named Swati at her school and it is funny how she pronounces the name… something like… “suvadi”. We had a hard time figuring out what Ashwini was saying.

We are glad we didn’t name her Swati. She would have butchered her own name.
